Belt

A course of stones or bricks projecting from a structure, generally lying in a horizontal plane. Sometimes called a stone-ring. Also a flexible strip of leather, rubber, or any other material which passes around the periphery of wheels, drums, etc. for transmitting motion from one to the other.
